A Complete Guideline for Updating iPhone by iTunes or Without iTunes

iPhone users should ever be notified to update the operating system (iOS) version to the latest one. It’s a convenient way to update iPhone iOS through Wi-Fi. Also, you can use iTunes to do this.

Besides, some iPhone users also can choose another method which uses the cellular data network (3G/4G) to update the system. However, it will cost much time and data, because generally the data packet is large and the download speed of mobile network is not more fast than Wi-Fi. So it is a wise decision to use Wi-Fi to update iOS. At present, the latest version of iOS is iOS 9.

Not only the operating system needs to be updated but also the apps you have bought should be updated.
